6: AdministrativeADMINISTRATIVE COURSE AIM: To help the Pioneer to take her place in any group of people, to help her to be confident to voice an opinion and support it. To help the Pioneer develop an understanding of the responsibilities and duties of executive positions in a group or organisation within or outside the Church. PRE-REQUISITES 1. Completed at least one advanced Pioneer Leadership Training Course 2. Show an interest in accepting Leadership responsibility 3. Must be at least 16 years of age This Course Covers 1. Christian Leadership 2. Citizenship 3. Functions of a committee 4. Leading a discussion 5. Formal meeting procedure 6. The tasks of Executive positions 7. Planning a special event 8. Development of a resource file of activities 9. Introduction to Risk Management and Duty of Care 10. Practical assessment of skills learnt Training Outcomes At the end of the training sessions the Pioneer will be able to: Set out an agenda for a Committee Meeting and write the minutes relating to it. Plan, prepare and conduct a special event - under the supervision of a Captain or Divisional Commissioner. Demonstrate an understanding of the tasks of Executive positions and rules of debate.
