3: Girls' BrigadeGIRLS' BRIGADE COURSE AIM: To help the Pioneer develop skills required for Leadership in the Company programme. PRE-REQUISITES 1. Completed the Preliminary Pioneer Leadership Training Course 2. Show an interest in accepting Leadership responsibility This Course Covers 1. Christian Leadership 2. Leading and teaching Drill 3. Techniques for establishing group discipline 4. Delivering clear instructions 5. Teaching methods 6. Programme planning 7. Development of a resource file of activities 8. Introduction to Risk Management and Duty of Care 9. Practical assessment of skills learnt Training Outcomes At the end of the training sessions the Pioneer will be able to: Plan a six week programme for Cadets or Juniors selecting appropraite activities for the topic and taking into consideration the age and ability of the girls and all relevant safety issues. Lead a group of girls for a session from the programme planned. Teach a group of 8-12 girls the basics of drill. Set up or further develop a Resource file including songs, games and activities.
